Dorm 101: Bedding

In a dorm room, your bed becomes the focal point of you room.  In addition to sleeping in it, it's also a couch, a desk, a chaise, a chair, a table, and everything else you could imagine.  It's important to pick a quality comforter or quilt that will last all year (or many years!) and that goes with the decor of your room.

The first and second quilts are from PBTeen.  The third comforter is from the Bed, Bath, & Beyond Kate Spade Collection.
Pro Tip #2: Choose a comforter that is not predominately white.  Since you will be using it as more than a bed, you are likely to spill on it!

All three of these comforters are PBTeen.
Choose something fun and unique, and something that will make you smile each day!  You'll be spending a lot of time in your room, so make sure it's something that you love!

Pro Tip #3: Don't pick a bold print that you'll get sick of.  Although I picture three comforters that feature a loud floral print, choose something classic.  That way you can change the pillows and decor if you feel like you need to spice things up!

Some of my favorite places to get bedding for my dorm at stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Home Goods!  This year I'm using a patchwork Tommy Hilfiger comforter!

Where is your bedding from?
xoxo,
Rebecca

  1. Love these picks; I totally agree with you about the importance of something simple! I haven't gone off to college yet, but my home bedding is from PBTeen!

  2. I fell in love with that Kate Spade set but it's so expensive! I ended up just buying my bedding from Target this year. It's much cheaper and, with how much I use my bed as a dining room table, it works out quite well. So excited to go back to school!

  3. I went with Lilly Pulitzer! Definitely bold, but you only have one freshman year, and in my case it's my only year living in a dorm.
