Welcome to my junior year dorm room!
This year I am living in a single room with two closets, two windows, plenty of space, and a hopefully quiet hall!
This is the view when you enter my room. On the right, I have my bed and dresser. On the left, I have a bookshelf, my mini fridge, and a cozy chair!
This is the left side of my room. I had to use the Lilly Pulitzer decals (the elephants, palm trees, and little flowers) to cover the dirt and holes in the walls. I don't want to see that! :) On top of my fridge, I have a Lilly Pulitzer storage box with my dishes and snacks. I have some of the smaller storage bins on my book shelf to hold smaller school supplies and knick knacks. One of my favorite decorations is the navy, pink, and green flag banner that my mom and I made!
This year I purchased a desk from Target instead of using the desk that the college provides. The college's desk is inside one of my closets with plastic crates stacked on top. The college's desk isn't very big and I couldn't even have my laptop and a textbook on it at one time! I'm still deciding how I want to organize the things on my desk, but for now I'm using a mason jar and coffee mug to hold my pens and pencils. I have additional school supplies in boxes on my book shelf.
This is the right side of my room. Lots of pillows on my bed and two generous windows to let in sunlight!
In each of the back corners, I have some lanterns or flower pom poms hanging from the air vent. These add some decoration and color while hiding even more dirt and imperfections on the walls.
I am so happy with my room so far! I still have some organizing to do, but for the most part, this is what my room will look like! I am so happy that I am able to have my desk at the window to let in some natural light.
Have you moved into your room yet?
