Maybe I'm just nosey, but I think it is so interesting to learn about other people's daily routines. So if you're just as nosey as I am, let's take a look at my typical Thursday this semester!
7:45 - Rise and Shine!
I am NOT one of those girls that takes hours to get ready in the morning. Give me half an hour and my hair will be straightened and I'll be out the door.
8:15 - Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Breakfast is my favorite meal at Sweet Briar. There's always made to order omlettes, a waffle maker, different kinds of bagels and croissants, fruit, bacon or sausage, and some kind of breakfast pastry. Needless to say, it's always easy to find something to eat!
9:30-11 - Work, work, work!
On Thursday mornings I work one of my three campus jobs. This shift calls for the President's Office. I'm the only student intern this year (there used to be two of us!), so I'm doing all kinds of exciting things from filling out payment request forms, to shredding piles of papers older than I am (literally, they were dated 1991), and processing government forms for the donation of a horse to the college's riding program.
11:30-12:15 - Lunch time!
Lunch is hit or miss, but even if there's nothing something great to eat, I can always count on a funny story or joke from my friends!
1:30-2:45 - Arts Management Class
On Thursdays I only have one class. This semester I am taking the Intro to Arts Management class. So far it's really interesting and I think I'm really going to enjoy it! In addition to class, we also have to do twenty hours of field experience. For my field experience I will be doing the social media for the Virginia Center for Creative Arts here in Amherst!
5:00 - Supper, super pepper upper! (Name that musical!)
Once again...I eat.
7-9 - Tutoring!
One of my other jobs on campus is through the Academic Resource Center. I am a peer tutor for the first four levels of Spanish classes (101-202). My tutoring hours are usually 7-9 on Thursdays, but that may change through the semester depending on who needs tutoring.
11 - Goodnight!
I am not a night owl. If possible, I like to be in bed way before 11.
So that's what a typical Thursday looks like for me...of course all of the "empty" times are filled in with studying, studying, and even more studying.
What is your schedule like?
