Everyday Makeup Routine

I'm not a huge makeup person.  I like getting dressed up, and on special occasions, I like to spiff up the makeup a little bit.  But for everyday wear, I like to keep things minimal, quick, and easy.

I find liquid foundation a pain in the butt.  It's messy, it can look bad if you don't blend it in well enough, and it's hard to find the perfect shade.  However, I've found a new makeup routine that provides coverage while still looking natural, takes less than five minutes, and keeps my face looking matte all day!

Insert Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and L'oreal True Match Poweder.

I went with the Maybelline concealer because it is from the same line as the foundation I use, so I knew which color matched my skin tone.  However, I think any concealer with a doe foot (sponge) applicator, would do the trick.  It's easy to apply on any blemishes and under the eyes.  I follow up with a light coat of powder over my whole face using a big powder brush (mine is from ecotools).  Then, I "pat" the powder into my oily areas (forehead, nose, and chin) to keep them looking matte all day.

Add a quick coat of mascara (I'm loving "The Rocket" right now, but I switch it up almost every time I buy a new mascara!) and some blush if I'm feeling washed out.

Less than five minutes and I'm ready to head out the door!

What is your daily makeup routine like?

Rebecca

  1. Your make-up routine is so simple haha! Mine is much more in depth ;-) Just for starters I use two mascaras and a primer on a daily bases, with at least two coats of each mascara... I will stop at this point before writing a novel of a blog comment! Maybe I should do a blog post with my make-up routine!

  2. I like to switch up my mascaras also! It's fun to try out new ones all the time. Having a quick makeup routine is nice - unfortunately, mine's a bit longer... Haha ;)
